JustWeb, Emerson’s social action group that educates and supports

action items where issues of environmental need and human justice

intersect, will meet on the second Sunday, September 11, 2016. The group will discuss

possible action items inspired by our August screening of Michael Moore’s film,

“Where to Invade Next” From paid vacations to gourmet school lunches to

prison reform to empowerment of women, the Michael Moore film

was full of ideas on what we really need to take (ideas!) from other

places in the world. We will also check in on developments on some

of our ongoing concerns with transitioning to single-payer health care,

limiting the use of water bottles at Emerson and beyond, saving the bees,

demanding GMO labeling, helping the West Valley Food Pantry,

and supporting local labor action. We will also take suggestions for

future film screenings.
