Theologian Reinhold Niebuhr said, “Nothing that is worth doing can be achieved in our lifetime; therefore we must be saved by hope.” With so much in the world in need of fixing or saving, it can become disheartening when things don’t change fast enough, but Niebuhr’s words remind that movement for justice are never won at once. This Sunday, we find hope and joy in the changes already underway, as we strive towards a more just and equitable world.
