David Early, Worship Associate
We just had some torrential rains when all I wanted to do was stay at home curled up in front of the TV. Especially during the winter months in places where the weather can be treacherous, it’s often hard to get up and go. However, many of us, including me, often feel bad about what we consider “doing nothing.” The writer Anne Lamott, however, considers it sacred. She writes that “Everything will work again if you unplug it, even you.” Let us worship together, calling up the sacred and the spiritual in what many partake in especially while wintering – what Lamott calls, “The Sacraments of Puttering and Plopping.”
