No, the title isn’t a calendaring mistake… This Sunday falls during the Jewish High Holy Days, which begin with the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah) and end 10 days later with the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). In Jewish tradition, this is a time for serious introspection, when people reflect on their actions over the past year and seek reconciliation and forgiveness with anyone they have wronged, or slighted, or injured, or in any way neglected. How might we, as Unitarian Universalists, enter into a practice of reconciliation and forgiveness?
