The Helping Hands, a crew of volunteers that share Saturday mornings at Emerson, is now forming. We will meet at 8am (before the heat) on Saturdays, starting August 1.  We will employ electric powered tools to trim the bushes, whack the weeds, and blow the parking lot, playground and sidewalks clean. Let’s help Emerson maintain a well-groomed look that shows pride of ownership.

Emerson is supported by the contributions of Time, Talent, and Treasure in whatever proportion suits our supporters best. Four volunteer hours a month, or two hours, or even one hour every month may save your community hundreds of dollars a month.

Ken Erbeznik will provide the power tools and a few hand tools. Bring a hat and some gloves.

If you prefer to volunteer some time cleaning the kitchen, pavilion, sanctuary or office let me know and we can arrange for that as well. The office needs a crew to sort and organize piles of stuff in the RE office and in the storeroom; the kitchen needs a deep cleaning and sorting out the surplus stuff accumulated over the last thirty years, the pavilion and hallway need tape residues razored off the glass; and the sanctuary needs damaged and excess chairs moved to storage.

You may have noticed other needs. Each need is another opportunity to lend a helping hand to your beloved Emerson community. Let me know what you’d like to do, and I will make sure we have the supplies you need.
