This Sunday falls during the Jewish High Holy Days, which begin with the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah) and end 10 days later with the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). In Jewish tradition, this is a time for serious introspection, when people reflect on their actions over the past year and seek reconciliation and forgiveness. We also remember the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks and their legacy, and explore how these different occasions relate to one another.
The Emerson Choir will sing “Sim Shalom” by Itzhak Zhrebker arr. Mark Brymer
