Our Elected Leaders: Board of Trustees

Emerson Board of Trustees 2026-7:  Ken Erbeznik, Treasurer; Aimee Noel, President; Stephanie Bunker, Secretary; Karen Moore Gates, Vice-President; and Melissa Marote, Member-At-Large.

Our Board President is Aimee Noel, who previously served as Secretary.  Aimee Noel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently working as a therapist in private practice. Aimee found Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church during the pandemic when she was searching for a progressive, inclusive spiritual home.  Since then she has become a member, joined the Worship Associate team and now has transitioned to the role of Secretary of the Board of Trustees. She is dedicated to creating an inclusive community and has a wheelchair accessible van to bring her mother-in-law and anyone else that needs help getting to the sanctuary.

 

Our Vice President is Karen Moore Gates.

Our Board Secretary is Stephanie Bunker.

Our Treasurer is Ken Erbeznik.

 

Our Trustee at Large is Melissa Marote.

Melissa Marote is a proud member of Emerson Unitarian Universalist church and has been since 2013. She serves as Member-at-Large, is a co-chair of the Worship Associate team, and is an alto in the choir. She also uses her therapy skills as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor by being a member of the Pastoral Care team. She serves as Worship Associate monthly, and is very active in her church and community. She is a mother of two teen daughters and is excited to answer any questions you might have about all things Emerson!
