Talking about God makes many of us squirm—and so do a lot of other words, such as religion, prayer, and blessings. These kinds of conversations can make some of us feel like we don’t belong. So how, then, do we talk about our own individual beliefs? What language do we use instead? And would it be possible to reclaim some of the words that may have hurt us in the past?

We are excited to welcome Rica back to Emerson. Rica is a third year seminarian at Meadville Lombard Theological School and the Intern Minister at Orange Coast UU Church in Costa Mesa.
