The difference between democracy and theocracy is the notion of “church and state” separation. We may think we are following our motto of religious pluralism, but it is challenging to make this ideal into reality because our beliefs and values make up our worldview. We cannot help bringing our worldview into everyday life. Our religion or spiritual belief often influences our worldview. Furthermore, when we let one religion dominate our lives, we risk losing the democracy we inherited.
In the last few years, Ms. Young has expanded her ministry and spiritual activism beyond the workplace into a broader society, where she helps heal the traumatized and suffering, mend the broken human spirit, and restore the basic goodness of humanity.
Besides serving as a guest minister, Rev. Young offers leadership coaching through her ministry, as well as online holistic life coaching for groups and listening salons for individuals. She has helped people deal with grief, life-ending, caregiving, spiritual wounding, moral injury, and other life and relationship stresses.
She is a Unitarian Universalist and Zen Buddhist.
