At the beginning of March, our youth planted a bunch of seeds during their religious education classes, as way of learning about our seventh principle: respect for the interdependent web. Now those seeds have sprouted and they are almost ready to go in the ground. On Saturday, April 8, we will be preparing the soil and planting those seedlings and some other plants—a mix of edibles and drought-tolerant plants for wildlife—on the grounds at Emerson.

 

We’ll be planting from 9 am until 1 pm—come help out for as long as you can. Bring clothes that you don’t mind getting a little bit dirty, and maybe some snacks to share. To RSVP, or if you have questions, email revmatthew@emersonuuc.org.
