God Is Not One: A New Monthly Discussion Series

Most of us have heard the phrase “all religions are different paths up the same mountain.” But is that actually true?

Join us on the 1st Tuesday of each month from 2 to 4 pm as we dive into a provocative and illuminating study of the world’s great religions. Using Stephen Prothero’s God Is Not One as our primary text, we will explore the unique problems and solutions offered by traditions ranging from Buddhism to Islam to Yoruba Religion.

Rev. Chloë will supplement our reading with additional ministerial reflections and materials to help us connect these diverse perspectives to our own faith journey. We are incredibly grateful to Martha Sharp for opening her home to us for these afternoons of fellowship and learning.

UU’s CLIMATE JUSTICE MOVEMENT CHAPLAINS ARE HERE FOR YOU!  SPIRITUAL CARE SESSIONS AVAILABLE FOR INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS

Unitarian Universalist Ministry For Earth‘s Climate Justice Movement Chaplain Intern, Chelsea McCoy, a seminarian with lived experience in social movements as a Black woman, is offering interfaith spiritual care and chaplaincy for our UU Ministry for Earth community from now through June 2026.  Chelsea is available to meet 1-on-1 or with small groups such as your congregation’s Green Team. UUMFE’s Acting Director, Rev. Lauren Levwood, and our team of UUMFE Movement Chaplains, are also working alongside Chelsea to co-facilitate a weekly drop-in Climate Grief Support Group on Fridays from 1-2pm ET/10-11am PT over Zoom beginning February 27. If you are concerned about the state of our world, worry about how current events are intersecting with climate disturbance, are a parent or grandparent concerned about the coming generations, or a young adult with anxiety about the future of our living world, this drop-in Climate Grief Support Group will provide a space for you to process your experiences with others in a ritualized, trauma-informed, and mindful way.
