Sacred Cinema: Leave No Trace

Melissa Marote, Worship Associate

This month’s offering in our “Sacred Cinema” series is Leave No Trace, directed by Debra Granik.  The film tells the story of pivotal moments in the life of a father and daughter who are living intentionally unhoused and off grid.  Our service will look at this thought-provoking and heartfelt movie through the lens of this month’s worship theme, “Trust.”

On the fourth Friday of each month we watch a film in the Sanctuary, and then explore its themes and meanings in Sunday’s service. Leave No Trace will be screened at Emerson on Friday, March 24.  Doors open at 7:00pm. Film at 7:15. Bring a movie snack and Rev. Matthew will provide gourmet popcorn!

The Emerson Choir, under the direction of Eloise Porter, will offer “Come in from the Firefly Darkness” by Amy F. Bernon.
