Candidating Week begins at service on Sunday, May 8th. The Reverend Matthew McHale will preach at Emerson for the first time, and then spend all week getting to know our congregation and letting us get to know him.
After service on the last day of Candidating Week, a congregational meeting will be held to vote on whether or not to call The Reverend Matthew McHale as our new settled minister. This will be an open meeting, though no proxy voting will be allowed. The vote will take place by secret ballot.
