This year’s Canvass kicks off on February 26 from 12:00-1:30 with a potluck celebration. Our pledge goal this year is $170,000.  This is only part of the cost of running our church.  We raise the rest of the funds through fundraising events throughout the year.

As you consider how much you will make in a pledge, I ask that you consider the important role that Emerson plays in each of our lives, and also its role in the community at-large. I would be glad to provide you with any resources that might help you in contemplating the right amount to pledge.  A fair-share guide is included with your canvass letter as one such resource.  Of course, each person’s situation is unique and each decision about pledging is personal.


Please return your pledge form after the potluck on February 26. Our goal is to collect all the forms by the end of March.  Alternatively, you can drop the form in the pledge box in the Pavilion during any social hour, return it to me, Andrea Reuter, or return it to our Treasurer, Leslie Reuter.  You can also make your pledge through the link that will be sent out via the weekly electronic newsletter during the month of March.
