CORONA PANDEMIC AND ZOOM

During our extended pandemic pause we have used Zoom as a way to meet virtually not just for worship, but for many of the small groups, committee meetings, and even for creative new ways to be together, like Emerson’s Coffee Hour after every Sunday’s Zoom morning worship service.  Staying on zoom after church and joining our coffee hour chats is a good way to get to know some of us.  As we gradually move into in-person services, we are continuing with a multi-platform (a/k/a hybrid) service so you have the option to join us in-person or via Zoom.  Please see the current Worship Service information about joining us on a specific Sunday, as protocol for in-person services may vary.

You can join us for Sunday morning worship via Zoom,
by selecting this link: live.emersonuuc.org;
by going to the
Zoom Meeting ID: 858 109 2800; Password: chalice
OR Via Phone: (669) 900-6833; Enter the Meeting ID: 858 109 2800

A few notes on the worship service:

  • Everyone is invited to light their own chalice, so you might want to have one ready.
  • If you have a joy or sorrow that you would like to have shared aloud during the worship service,

OPTIONAL CHILDCARE

When we worship in-person, optional childcare for infants and toddlers will be offered for Sunday services, starting at 10:15 a.m. You may bring your child to the nursery (classroom 2, next to the playground). We recommend coming by 10:15 at first, so that your child can get accustomed to the setting. Children are also welcome to stay with their parents. Our foyer is connected to the sanctuary by large windows, wired into our sound system, and furnished with chairs and toys, so that parents do not have to miss any of the service if their children get restless during the quiet times in our service.
