As our Unitarian Universalist denomination revisits its Seven Principles–one of the most central features of our faith community–and moves to add an eighth, it seems like a good moment for both congregations and individual members to reflect on the guidance they provide… and its relevance. The 1st Principle encourages us to recognize the inherent dignity and worth of every person. In this service, we’ll take time to consider the profound challenges this presents–starting with recognizing dignity and worth in ourselves and in those we find ourselves in conflict with.
