Interdependent Web (1)

For this all-ages Earth-Day celebration, we will dive into the idea of the “web of life” from scientific, spiritual, emotional, and artistic perspectives. Take part in constructing our very own, very literal web on the Emerson chancel, and learn more about the threads of evolution that connect us to all living things on earth.

You are invited to bring a small item that represents the beauty of our natural region (e.g. acorn, driftwood, succulent, seashell, oak leaf, stone) to place on an altar celebrating our ecosystem. Some of these items, if you are willing to part with them, may become a permanent fixture of our altar.

Special Music: “Bird Song” by the Wailin’ Jennys & “The Compost Bin” by Hap Palmer performed by The Emersons with Kevin Mathie.
