Christy Carew Marshall, Accompanist

Christy Carew MarshallI've been a composer and pianist for twenty years, starting with the Royal Conservatory Program in Vancouver, B.C., where I was born. Since then I have lived studying music in Reno, NV; New Orleans, LA; Paris, France; New York, NY and now beautiful Burbank, CA. I knew from an early age that I wanted to be a pianist and composer - after earning my Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance and Music Business from Loyola University New Orleans, I moved to New York to study film scoring and composition at NYU. I earned my Master of Arts in 2006, and also got a chance in the summer between my two postgraduate years to study piano and composition in Paris at L'Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. Coming to LA was the next logical choice and I'm now focused on having a dual career as a composer of film and concert music. I also teach piano and I really enjoy my work as accompanist for Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church, especially playing with the choir and working with the immensely talented Yohan Partan. Please check out my music and read some more about me at http://www.christycarew.com
