Emerson’s Book Group chooses selections from our readers’ suggestions, alternating month by month from fiction to nonfiction, with only two rules…selection must be available in paper and must have been read by the nominator. What I enjoy most from participating is the challenge to read outside my comfort zone.

And so for June, we are tipping our hats to Rhod Zimmerman, who was a very active and will be much missed participant, and are remembering his many contributions to our discussions, always thoughtful and inquisitive, expressing curiosity and joy, and always interested in everyone’s impressions…and always suggesting something outside …like crime fiction, which he loved.

We will read Michael Connelly’s, The Black Echo: A Novel (A Harry Bosch Novel; Book 1. So plan to join us for a good summer read on Tuesday, June 27 at 7:30 in the Pavilion.
