We’re now halfway through canvass season and things are heating up. This year we started our canvass with an online pledge option, and “early adopters” responded. The pledges gathered during our annual canvass are used to plan our yearly budget. We’ve emailed about 150 Emersonians and Friends of Emerson. As of this update the church has received 50 commitments totaling over $94,000. We are halfway to our goal $160,000 in pledges for the 2016-2017 year.
Canvassers have been mobilized to start the next wave of appeals by personal contact. If you are interested in joining our effort please contact canvass co-chairs Elizabeth Altman (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Andrea Reuter (email@example.com). Also, we will have laptops available after service during social hour during the month of April so that canvassing volunteers can assist with filling out the online survey. Please consider all the benefits of belonging to this amazing religious community and all that it means to you, your family and the community.
It’s not too late to pledge online — just click the handy link below and fill in a few simple boxes. That’s all!
As your complete your pledge, consider everything Emerson means to you and your community. Then consider what it takes to keep our programming vibrant, our piano in tune, and our outreach and social justice activities successful.
We’d all like to welcome our new minister with a strong economic outlook. Please pledge generously!
